Cembrit Permabase is the ideal substrate for interior tiled areas that are likely to be affected by moisture.
Cembrit Permabase is specially designed for insulated render systems and tile backing board in internal wet areas. Permabase is a rigid cement and aggregate board with reinforced tapered edges designed for butt jointing. This moisture resistant board has a dark grey surface with a grid texture, created from the strengthening mesh. The tapered edges of the board have a light grey cement colour. Cembrit Permabase is class 0 fire rated however we do recommend using a waterproof membrane for external application. Permabase is moisture, mould and rot resistant and offers durable and stable support for any application. Cembrit Permabase is supplied in 1 thickness and panels can be cut to size.
