Latest colour releases from FunderMax and Rockpanel
In recent years the interest in facades which can create a natural look has developed on the back of collections such as Rockpanel Woods and FunderMax Nature. Both these manufacturers have recently introduced new ranges emulating the distinctive look of natural stone and concrete facades. The new Rockpanel Stones and FunderMax SKY together offer an easy and effective solution in over 20 colourways to suit a range of aesthetic requirements.
Rockpanel Stones
The newest addition to the Rockpanel range is Rockpanel Stones, a highly durable and lightweight alternative to natural stone or concrete facades. Produced using sustainable compressed natural basalt, a volcanic rock, bonded with an organic binder, Rockpanel Stones is able to be manipulated like wood whilst maintaining the appearance of stone.
Head of Group Marketing and Business Development, Frank Weigelt, described how the three finishes of ‘Mineral’, ‘Basalt’ and ‘Concrete’ means “architects and designers have a wide range of options available to create visionary facades with an authentic stone appearance” without compromising on durability.
Treated using a high quality water based coating to ensure a long lasting finish and colour, the design composition will last for years to come. The Rockpanel Stones panels come as standard with an additional ProtectPlus layer which creates a protective surface against dirt build up, graffiti and UV rays supporting the self-cleaning capacity of the panels.
As with the rest of the Rockpanel range, Rockpanel Stones can offer a fire rating up to A2 with Rockpanel FS-Xtra panels, and up to a B fire rating with standard panels when coupled with ROCKWOOL’s insulative products; Rockpanel Stones can meet most fire resistance needs.
FunderMax SKY
FunderMax SKY completes the expansive high pressure laminate décor range available from this manufacturer. The mix of 10 contemporary and traditional shades allows designers to effectively imitate the look of stone with a lightweight alternative which can be used across entire building structures.
Produced with a unique surface texture including shiny facets, which create an ever changing façade glistening in the light. This works alongside the deep matt finish to create an impressive illusion of real stone or concrete.
As with the other décor options in the FunderMax range, SKY panels have longevity and an uncompromising strength due to their composition. Produced under high pressure at high temperatures from 65% natural fibres per weight, largely consisting of wood fibres converted into Kraft papers, panels are highly durable. Panels are coated with a double hardened acrylic polyurethane resin creating a protective coating, this protective resin means panels are extremely weather resistant, solvent and scratch resistant.
FunderMax Max Exterior F Quality panels offer a favourable fire rating of B as standard, giving the piece of mind that the SKY panels are of a high quality and as well as fulfilling safety needs.
