Vivalda Group listed in London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ 2020 report for fourth successive year

Non-flammable cladding specialist Vivalda Group has been recognised as one of the UK’s most inspirational companies by the London Stock Exchange. Now appearing in the organisation’s annual report ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ for the fourth successive year, Vivalda continues to invest in its people, technology and premises despite tough conditions in the construction sector made worse by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bucking the downward trend seen across much of the building industry, Vivalda has continued to maintain the highest standards in cladding safety, sticking to its policy of supplying only non-combustible facades to high rise buildings. While 2020 has been challenging for the UK’s largest supplier of cladding and facades, the group – which includes the Vivalda, MSP, Prism Power Coating and Pura Facades brands – saw a 7% uplift in pre-tax profit in 2019 from revenues up 2.5% to £34m.

Peter Johnson, founder and chairman of Vivalda Group said: “It is fantastic to be recognised once again by such as well-known and respected institution as the London Stock Exchange. I pay tribute to Vivalda’s remarkable staff who remain stoic and determined in the face of the ongoing pandemic. Despite the impact of continued lockdowns, we think 2020 could end up being a good year for us.”

“It is especially pleasing to see the important indicators heading in the right direction – profit calculated under EBITDA is £3.49m, or 11% of sales. The future of UK cladding will belong to companies who invest consistently – in a skilled workforce, plant and machinery as well as customer service.”

Audited accounts confirm Vivalda invested £1.8m in fixed assets during 2019/20, with total net assets now standing at £13m.
