Assistant Branch Manager – VIVALDA Hull

The Role: Full time, permanent
Reporting To: Branch Manager
Hours of Attendance: 08:30 to 17:30 (one hour unpaid lunch break), Monday to Friday (flexibility is required to meet the demands of the business)
Location: Courtney Street, Mount Pleasant, Kingston upon Hull, HU8 7QF

 

The Company:

VIVALDA Group Plc has an annual turnover of £30 million. The Group PLC has been in operation since 1999, and operates out of 8 facilities across the UK and Ireland.

We work with technical building contractors and architects on billion-pound complexes as well as much smaller modern residences similar to those featured on ‘Grand Designs’, supplying high value materials.

Job Purpose:

To assist the Branch Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Branch, which includes deputising in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage our customers receive an excellent service;
  • Management of Administration, Sales, Driver and Warehouse Teams;
  • Train, develop, support and motivate your team;
  • Help to build branch sales and profits;
  • Generate new customers;
  • Run an efficient and effective operation by managing the stock and properly utilising your vehicles;
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Procedures, ensuring all mandatory training is completed and the branch is a safe place to work;
  • Managing the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager
  • Any other duties as required by management

Person Specification:

  • Strong character with career aspirations to become Branch Manager in the future
  • Strong sales/customer service experience
  • Experience in the building/Envelope industry
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • IT Literate to a high standard
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to provide a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Flexible in attendance
  • Full clean driving licence
